On Sunday, idols of the Shiva family were vandalized at a temple in Kota city. Angered by this, activists from a Hindu organization staged a protest on the street demanding the arrest of the accused. They attempted to close the market at 2 p.m., but were stopped by police, leading to a scuffle. The incident occurred at the Pipleshwar Mahadev Temple in the shopping center area of the Gumanpura police station area.
After police assurances, people ended the protest at 4 p.m. and demanded the arrest of the accused within 48 hours. Hindu organizations have also threatened to close the market on the shopping center road on Monday.
Earlier this morning, when the priest arrived, he found broken idols of the Shiva family around the temple. The clothes worn by the deities were burned. Santosh Sharma, an elderly woman who regularly visits the temple, began crying after seeing the condition of the temple. She has stated that she will not eat or drink until action is taken.
Local businessman Gaurav Agarwal said, “The temple is located on the divider in front of Bandhan Bank in the shopping center area.” Traders have a strong faith in the temple. All traders open their shops only after visiting the temple. The temple houses idols of Shivalinga, Parvati, Ganesha, and other deities.

When the priest arrived at 6 a.m. today, he found the idols of the Shiva family around the temple broken. The clothes worn by the deities were burned. Local traders are deeply angered by the incident and are demanding strict action. CCTV footage from nearby locations shows a suspect roaming around the temple around 3:45 a.m.
BJP MLA from Kota South, Sandeep Sharma, stated that a mentally challenged man had been seen around the temple for the past two or three days. According to the police administration, his mental state is unstable.
The MLA demanded that the man be arrested and interrogated to determine why he acted this way and whether this incident was part of a conspiracy.
He stated that the police administration must ensure that people’s religious sentiments are not hurt in any way.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dilip Saini said, “We received a complaint about an antisocial person damaging idols at the Pipleshwar Mahadev Temple in the Shopping Center area. After inspecting the scene, a case has been registered based on the local residents’ complaint. The man was still around the temple at 6 a.m. today, talking incoherently. The police are investigating all aspects of the investigation.”
